| Sports Leaders UK: Level 1 in Sports Leadership
The award is a nationally recognised award that helps young people over the age of 14 develop their leadership skills. It’s a fun course and offers an insight into the enjoyment one can gain through sports leadership. The syllabus fosters generic skills, which can be applied to a variety of different sporting activities as well as contributing to the participants personal and social education. It’s a practical qualification where candidates learn through doing, rather than through written work. | Sports Leaders UK: Level 1 in Community Sports Leadership The award gives people aged 16 and over the skills needed to lead groups in safe sporting and recreational activity. It encourages participants to take responsibility for others, develops organisational and communication skills and instils confidence in people for whom leading groups in sporting activities is a new experience.
